"On a good day we can weave almost a meter of fabric, but the next day we tend to be a little slower! In total it takes just over 2m of fabric to make a pair of our jeans…"

"Crafting a piece from scratch allows me to know where the raw materials which we use are sourced. It's really important to me to know where everything comes from... think it's so important that we question where our clothes come from..."

"The setting up of one of our looms takes a full day to be complete. All 455 warp yarns have to be individually passed through the heddles on the loom and then the reed which takes quite a long time..."

WHAT RELATIONSHIP DO YOU WANT TO ESTABLISH BETWEEN EACH GARMENT AND ITS WEARER?

'I would like for them to treasure it. People just don't value their clothes anymore, nowadays we would rather buy 10 pieces of cheap clothing as it's just so easy, rather than buy one piece which would make us really happy and which we would keep for life, mending it whenever there was a problem with them. I would like to see people making better decisions. As designers we have a responsibility to think about what we are using to make our clothes.'
