London based Central Saint Martin's graduate FAUSTINE STEINMETZ is a creator of artisan basics. With an intention to rehash our wardrobe rudiments, Steinmetz has developed an aesthetic characterised by clean, familiar silhouettes and fresh textures.

The brand's ethos rejects fast fashion consumption, endeavouring even to treat basics with an air of attention that imbues each piece with a sense of longevity and endurance. Steinmetz creates for craftsmanship over trend. Every piece is handwoven by one person, with some taking over a week to create.

Set up in 2013 having worked with Jeremy Scott and Henrik Vibskov, the initial Steinmetz focus was upon clothing but the label has now expanded into accessories. As she combines the intricacy of artisanal fabrics with wearable, easy shapes, Faustine Steinmetz continues to create trend-transcending clothing that challenges the culture of fast fashion.
