Nicola Brognano is the creative director of Blumarine. He was appointed to the role at the end of 2019.
Born in 1990 in Calabria, in the south of Italy, and raised in his mother’s bridal atelier, Brognano studied fashion design at Marangoni Institute in Milan. After graduation, he worked with Giambattista Valli in Paris, assisting on both the pret-a-porter and haute couture collections, and subsequently launched the eponymous Brognano label in Milano.

Educated in the classic language of couture, he nonetheless keeps a gently rebellious spirit, which he translates into creations meant to make women look beautiful and sensual. With an eclectic eye, Brognano gives romanticism a contemporary spin
